The scroll depicts a landscape scene that spans from the city to the suburbs, exurbs, and eventually hinterland environments. Linear conduits—highways, railways, pipelines, among others—allow these regions to be networked into globalized dependencies. The range of spaces and cultures that span from spaces of resource extraction to consumption—each situating a unique notion of collectivity.
