Enfilade House

Situated on a deep lot in Noe Valley, the Enfilade House employs an enfilade plan of different sized rooms to create a flexible framework of occupation. The deep interior is opened up by removing the service spaces along the interior light wells, creating a unique through space that borders two diverse conditions due to the key lot nature of the site. Designed as two stacked units for an intergenerational family, the rear yard employs a series of terraces to create both privacy and connection between the familial groups.
